Habilect systems received eight EU certificates
The rehabilitation system developed by the Habilect company (Skolkovo resident) is designed to restore motor skills after a stroke, brain injury, limb and spine surgery, diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, disorders of the musculoskeletal system and is suitable for people of any height, weight and build.
The certificates were needed because the Habilect complex was eagerly awaited in Germany, Austria, Scandinavian and Baltic countries, but could not be purchased without European documents. The complex has no analogues in the world and is in great demand in the West with its developed medical rehabilitation system. It has already been adapted to the European market: it supports English language, has the necessary instructions and descriptions. In Russia, the capabilities of Habilect systems are also well known: they operate in more than twenty Russian regions.
It is more correct to talk about systems, because the company has a number of developments: H.Clinic, H.MotionLab, H.Doc, H.Patient.
H.Clinic – a complex for restoration of motor activity, designed for use in medical centers.
H.MotionLab – a program to evaluate the movements of the patient, giving the doctor a report on the progress and quality of exercise. “It is a high-precision motion laboratory with a projection platform,” explains Aleksei Kozlov, CEO of Habilect. “We measure the balance of the human body, not only in the horizontal plane, but also in the sagittal and frontal planes. Here we have gait analysis, motion kinematics, joint load, as well as symmetry assessment and neurological tests”.
H.Doc is the doctor’s workplace for managing patient profiles, prescribing exercises and monitoring tasks. “This is the software that we most often give as a gift when we buy a complex for the clinic”, says Habilect CEO, “With this software, the doctor can analyze data at any time, not just when the patient is practicing. The doctor can install the program on his laptop and get the same data as with a large system, while working in a more comfortable environment.
About the system Habilect H.Patient we must say a lot. Designed for home use, it was the company’s response to the epidemic when patients couldn’t go to medical centers and classes had to continue. It allows practicing at home as efficiently and safely as in medical centers. Self-treatment is completely imposible”, says Aleksei Kozlov. “The attending physician prepares an individual course of exercises based on the results of diagnostics, based on the needs of the patient, and through our system constantly accompanies the patient”.
Habilect H.Clinic and Habilect H.Patient look roughly the same: it’s a large monitor on a stand where the patient sees … himself. On the screen you can see not the coach or the doctor, but the patient”, says Aleksei Kozlov. “He sees himself as in a mirror, only with additional elements: right on his body it is indicated which points participate in the exercise, what is done correctly, what is wrong, which muscles work; sometimes the screen shows pop-up tips or instructions. If a person is training at home, the first session takes place together with a doctor. Then, every time before the beginning of the exercise, instructions on what to do are displayed on the screen. If the patient has forgotten the exercise or if the doctor has remotely prescributed a new course, right at the moment of the exercise, you can click on the avatar on the screen and he will tell you how to proceed correctly.
There is a so-called biofeedback in the complex: the doctor automatically receives a full report on all indicators of the patient’s physical condition. The doctor knows about everything the patient does, about each of his attempts, about errors, about whether there is progress and can adjust the execution of tasks to make progress. There are no sensors on the patient’s body: all information is read by a 3D infrared sensor connected to the complex. “Roughly speaking, a construction laser distance meter”, – jokes the general director. The system scans 25 points of the body and by their trajectories in space determines the patient’s movements. In the home version, the patient receives a computer and sensor, connects them to the TV, enters a password – and the system is ready to work.
“Even an individual coach can’t give the visual feedback that our system provides”, – underlines Aleksei Kozlov.- “In addition, it attracts patients, motivates them to study. We have interesting feedback. For example, the doctor writes us: the patient could not be forced to perform exercises after a brain injury. The injury was severe, he did not understand what they wanted him to do and why he should do any exercise, although he could not even sit. And then he saw how his balance worked and something “clicked” in the person. He understood everything and after a few lessons with our system he could already walk.”
