Abstract:
At primary prosthetics of patients, after amputation of the lower limb, the main task is to reduce the period of training in the use of prosthesis with the formation of a new walking stereotype. This is important in terms of improving the overall physical condition of the patient, as well as the psychological aspects of restoring the ability to move independently and self-care. In training for the use of the prosthesis, the task is to reduce compensatory movements, maintaining a dynamic balance in space to reduce energy consumption with reduced movement under new conditions. When using the Habilect complex, the principle of biofeedback is observed, based on the visual self-control of the patient on a widescreen monitor when performing a set of exercises aimed at improving the coordination of movements in statics and walking. The program converts the incoming infrared sensor signal into an image of the patient on a screen with the contours of body segments, visually controlling the position of the patient in space, prompting when the body position deviates from the specified parameters of motion. In this way, the effect of faster mastering of prosthetic walking skills is achieved.
The purpose of the study:
Providing restoration of the patient’s motor functions through regular exercise and biofeedback.
Materials and methods:
The operator prepares an exercise course individually for each patient and sets the necessary parameters for each exercise. Based on the results of the performed exercises, it is possible to evaluate changes in the volume of movements of the selected joint.
Results and discussions:
Testing before and after the exercises during the whole course allowed to evaluate the positive dynamics of changes in prosthetic walking.
